Calypso the Border Collie Mix
Calypso came to us from the Potter League animal shelter. Her mother and seven other brothers and sisters were rescued from a high kill shelter and brought up north. We adopted her in mid-September, and we couldn't be happier. In short, Calypso is the best thing that has ever happened to our family, and I can't wait to see what other silly things she'll do to bring a smile to my face.

She has markings just like my Houdini . . . oh, love her, love her, love her. She will delight you, frustrate you, invigorate you, even infuriate you at times . . . but just try to stay mad when you look at that sweet little face! Thank you so much for giving another shelter dog a chance at a long life full of love. Please stroke her ears for me.

Just the phrase "high kill shelter" gives me the chills. What a contradiction in terms! A shelter should be a safe place. I'm so glad you have given Calypso a loving home. I agree with the person who said she'll enrich your life with her boundless devotion.

calypso is simply gorgeous!!! she has exact same markings as my rufus(rescued just days before the dreaded deed) he's aprox.5-6 yrs and he's been our best friend for 1yr 7mo and could'nt imagine life w/o him!!!we send lots of hugs and kisses and belly rubs!! and thanks for rescuing!!!!!!!!!!!
