Hudson's mom says: Hudson is a shelter puppy from Tennessee. His early life is a country song, Mom abandoned pregnant on the side of the road. She was a Lab and Spitz mix, but we're not sure about the Dad, but whenever people see his curly tail, they say pug. Since moving to Massachusetts, Hudson has developed his love of ducks and geese, and going for runs in the Arnold Arboretum. He enjoys playing with stuffed animals, other puppies, and napping in the sun. He especially loves his weekend trips up to Maine to visit his uncle and play on the beach.
I don't know about "pug" but he looks like he may have Corgi in him...in any event, definitely some Spitz. He is so sweet-looking and looks like the perfect puppy! I hope you and Hudson have many happy and safe years together!
Harlequinguy, you took the words right off my keyboard.
Hudson is100% adorable Thankyou for adopting him.
Hudson is a charmer! Whatever is in the mix should be patented!
I want a doggie just like Hudson! Beautiful coat, beautiful color, adorable face, great eyes, sweet muzzle, and that tail is too cute for words. Hudson rocks! Have a happy life with your loving family.
I see no pug, but I see lots and lots of adorable. What a wonderful guy, and I pat you on the back for getting a shelter dog!
He's absolutely lovely, he's a beautiful puppy 'n I hope u'll have many many many years of love with him!
E' un delizioso cucciolo con degli splendidi occhioni!
Hudson I'm so glad you found a loving home cos you're so cute. Millions of hugs and cuddles xxxxxxxxxxxx
Bless you for adopting this fine young lad. He looks both handsome and sweet. I hope you have many years of health and happiness together.
I'm seeing some corgi, too, most notably in the alternately drooping (and huge!) ears. And, like other posters, I agree that Hudson is a purebred "adorable" puppy!!
What a HANDSOME little angel! Just everything about him is absolutely goodlooking. I hope the mother and Hudson's siblings have also found loving and caring homes! :)
What a lovely pup, and so attentive to the camera - he is obviously devoted. Have a great life Hudson.
What a handsome fellow you are, Hudson!! Too adorable for words (almost!).
I agree with former posts - may be some Corgi in the mix. Whatever the ingredients, I'd say the recipe was a success! Way to go, rescuing this fine boy! Many happy years to your family!!
Hudson you are sooo Handsome! I just want to give you lots of hugs and Kisses!! You have soooo many adorable loving traits that melt my heart. I also agree with the above...I see the spitz and the possible hint of corgi but no pug. Who cares though I bet you are the best dog ever!! 11 biscuits!!
What an adorable puppy!!! I have a rescue puppy from TN who reminds me of Hudson. We have no clue what she is either but we guess corgi/sheltie although her ad said husky!! They just had no clue, but she really doesn't look like a husky at all. Enjoy many years with your beautiful baby!!
Hudson is so cute and handsome! I don't see any pug in him, either. Spitzes have curly tails, even curlier than Hudson's. My Finnish spitz mix Elli looks very much like Hudson.
Good Morning, Hudson! You are the most handsome fellow I've seen this morning and look very happy. Every doggie deserves the life you seem to have. Mostly, I'm not that curious about what genes came together to make a doggie ... four legs, nice coat, waggy tail ... yup, it's a dog. Others seem to like to know, though. My house has a little girl who was abandoned like your momma! We haven't had her very long, but she presented us with seven babies who are now housed nice and cozy in my dining room. We didn't know they were on the way when we adopted momma!! We've been eating picnic style as seven babies take up a lot of space in a small house. Our prayer for our surprise babies is that we find families as wonderful as yours. Say, Hudson, do you know any stories about your momma and brothers or sisters? I'm very fond of happy endings!
I'm not seeing pug (too much nose!), but spitzes have curly tails so that could easily account for it. Could be some corgi. Whatever he is, he's adorable.
Hudson is an adorable dog. I hope you have many happy times with him! Lots of doggie cookies for hudson!
Hudson is the most adorable looking dog ever (from what I can tell from the pictures)! He looks like he's got some great muscle tone! 100 Biscuits!!!
Very sweet....and loving the tail This is a great story and so glad you rescued Hudson. He is beautiful and seems to love all kinds of weather by looking at his photos.:)

I would have to agree with a few others. I see Corgi and/or Chow. But who cares when you have such an adorable sweet boy!!!
We live in Maine and maybe our two girls will have a chance meeting on a beach up here someday with Hudson.
Lot's of belly rubs to you, Hudson.
We have a dog that looked just like this when she was a pup. Curly tail and all. We think the tail may be from (finnish) spitz. Whatever it is, it sure is cute.
Hudson I know exactly what you are - 100% handsome and adorable, and that's all that counts. You seem to have the perfect doggie life. Hugs, kisses and 11 biscuits from Kansas USA.
Hudson you are another lucky dog lottery winner! You are the cutest darn thing ever......you are like my dog Tiki, I call her a "wonder dog" cause we'll always wonder what she is. She even has the one ear up thing going on like you. We honestly don't even know where she came from, we found her in our yard one morning and have no clue where she came from.....she was only about 2 months old, sickly and ate up with mange. She survived eating the strings out of a sock and having her intestines messed up and worms! Now she's just a chubby senior citizen. Anyway, sorry to ramble on....I absolutely adore Hudson and bless you for saving this sweetheart! xoxo 11 biscuits to you and have a great life.
he is adorable! i see corgi in the bone structure in his face, but who, knows? someone mentioned chow and i was thinking that too. (while his background doesn't REALLY matter, it can be fun to guess!) 11 biscuits.
A toast to Hudson's mom for opening up her heart and home and CONGRATULATIONS to Hudson for choosing such a wonderful family! It doesn't really matter what his mix is because ...
you + him = 100% love!
Bonne chance and here's to many days with the sun on your face, the wind in your fur, and sand between your toes! It's what I'm shooting for :) and Hudson my boy - you're already there!
Oh Hudson, life must be rough! Playing on the beach must make you ready for a nap :-) You are one cute doggie and I hope you get plenty of real biscuits today!!
What a sweetheart! So much love in this baby's eyes. Lucky you to have found him & lucky him to have you.
Living the life of Riley! Snug as a Bug in the a Rug! What a cutie! He sure did get off to a rocky start, but God is good and there are no coincidences! His destiny was to be with you! Many kisses and lovins' for all involved!
Well he might be pug. Given his lack of pugsley face though, and his wonderful honey colouring, I'd say Corgi, or even Jack Russell - they have amazing curly tails and a lot of that coat too. It doesn't really matter though, whatever he is, he's just soooovely looking. A really gentle face and a dog for whom waking up in the mornings is tons of fun all on its own. You are blessed with this one I think. Enjoy!
Awwww....he is sooooo cute!!! I love how you said his story is a country song. He looks very happy to have found such a wonderful home. !!!!
What a beautiful dog! So cute and handsome and clearly lovable. :) Many kisses and floppy ear rubs Hudson! 11 biscuits
I love a puppy on a beach. From what it looks like, he's full of love and charm. Enjoy Hudson-- cos he earned 11 biscuits! :P
What a fresh faced, handsome lad he is! Very happy to hear that he had a second chance at a good life.
I just loooooove all of him! The ears got me! We have a dog with similar coloring and he is about the same size. We dont know what he is either, we just call him "Hoover". Everybody loves him and wants to take him home.
I think the best dogs are the ones with lots of "colors & flavors".
=)
Oh wow! Hudson is my favorite Daily Puppy in a long time! (Though I love them all!) He is just adorable in every way--especially his ears and curly tail!
Well judging from these pictures, Hudson is one busy guy. I just don't understand how people could be so ignorant as to abandon a Momma to be on the side of the road! So glad you got Hudson though- he's got the happy ending!
what a cute puppy! I have a chow/lab mix that could be his sister!! I call her my high-maintenance blond girl. Have fun with your sweetie and thank you for rescuing another great dog.
Hudson is extremely similar to the puppy I rescued earlier in this month! Very similar actually! The shelter told us Elkhound/Lab mix. We get Corgi comments very often as well! Curly tail, dark on the end. Crazy how much they look alike! I'm sure your little man is just as wonderful as ours!! Lots of love and biscuits to Hudson from his long, lost twin, Miles!
Hudson is absolutely gorgeous! So good to hear he's got a wonderful forever home. Love the beach pictures! Many tummy rubs and hugs, sweet boy!
xoxoxoxo
"Let's see.....what should I do next........fish?.....dog surf?.......dig in the sand?......I think I'll just sit here a while longer looking as- cute as- can -be while my mama points that thing at me that she seems to like".. Hudson, you are so handsome! And how fortunate to have found a loving, caring, forever mama.
I have obtained my babies by many different means...rescue, APL, breeders.....one day I opened my front door and there was a little face looking back! Just sitting there as if he were waiting for me. haha (that was 9 yrs ago, and he is sitting next to me now) But, somehow, adopting a precious animal that is set to be "humanely killed" just seem right in the "grand design."
Your Hudson is a sweetheart. and oh so cute. I wish you both oodles of love, beauty, and happiness.
Simply beautiful... the cutest puppy so far this week (not that this weeks didn't have very cute puppies). This little boy just appears to have something really special. Best of luck to you!!
I think instead of pug theres some shiba inu or basenji in there!!!! Definatley a handsome boy!!!!!!
What a sweet face! I love this pic because of Hudson's ears! When I was growing up, our neighbors had a dog whose ears did that, and we all called him "one-up, one-down".
Please give Hudson a snuggle from me and a "paws up" from my pup Spike!
I would say, to die for. But i would disagree aith the pug mix. I think it is more likely a Shiba Inu, Jindo, Akita, Chow Chow or some other type of Japanese breed
This is my first comment ever here. I just had to say he is gorgeous! I think he looks a little like my Katie - she's a Shiba Inu. He is so lucky to get to enjoy the beach!!
i forgot to add where we got him! we found him on petfinder.com and got him through this amazing rescue operation called Pet Matchmaker, http://www.petmatchm aker.org/ . Anyone who is worried about adopting a pet instead of going to a breeder should just meet Hudson. These folks at Pet Matchmaker really gave us an amazing gift by letting us have this puppy!
AWWW- Hudson is as cute as they get. And he is living his happy ending. I was going to send you blessing for rescuing this beauty but having Hudson in your life will be blessing enough, I suspect. Wishing Hudson a happy life, lots of love and all of the biscuits he can eat.
Why can't I leave more than 11 biscuits???? Hudson is killing me with cuteness. I want to give him 11 MILLION biscuits!
Hooray for shelter rescues! Hooray for Hudson!!
btw, Hudson happens to look very much like pup Baxter, who seems to be lab and german shepard. Same color, same floppy/perky ear set, different tail, and Baxter weight in at about 70 lbs.
I love it when its so difficult to choose one picture: the beach, the fall colors . . . . but this one just says "love"! Many happy years together to you both. I love rescue dogs, even when you get a young pup, it's still like they know somehow how lucky they are!
So cute!!! I think he's got a bit of Sharpe in him. The ears and tail give it away for me. My parents have a shepherd/sharpe mix, and the ears and tail are the same.
I hope you have many years of happiness with your puppy, whatever mix he is. :-)
What a beautiful puppy! I have a lab mix and I think they are wonderful dogs! I hopu you have many happy and healthy years together! Lots of love and biscuits to you Hudson!
Having had several pups of "indeterminate parentage", I love the one-of-a-kinds, knowing there is no other pup like yours. Hudson is handsome and sweet and brought tears to my eyes knowing what a wonderful life he has now. Many, many years of happiness to you all. Sammy sends hugs and wishes he could romp on the beach with Hudson!
What a baby face, thank you for saving this little sweeties life. He looks like such a good boy, love the beach photos. Love the name too, its great. Best wishes to Hudson from Hannah the Weimer.
Hudson, you sure are handsome!! Tons of hugs and kisses and biscuits from us! Yay for shelter dogs just like my Abby! This picture melts our hearts to bits!!
He is absolutely adorable!! How can you say no to that face of his!! :) His tail looks more like either a Shiba Inu's or the Spitz, either way it's cuter than ever!! Many happy years with this pup! 11 biscuits from Denali and I :)
Hudson is the cutest puppy ever!!!!! Can't wait to take him on a walk in the arboretum and chase him into the leaves and then roll him over and just rub the hell out of his belly until he pees. INFINITE BISCUITS!!!!!
Congratulations on your puppy! He is handsome and adorable!
Love everything about him..coat, color, eyes, tail..... Thanks for rescuing him...he's a luck dog! Much love to all and belly rubs to
Hudson!
Are you kidding me?! This is the cutest dog I've EVER seen!! I second the 11 MILLION BISCUITS!!!! Hudson's mommy and daddy are SOOOOO lucky!!!
I love Hudson's one ear up and one ear down! What a cutie patootie! I think this dog is a GEM! What a great rescue, lucky Hudson, lucky mom & dad! And great pictures!!

Hudson!!! BEAUTIFUL BOY!!!!!!!!! Too cute for words. The story of his mother is SO sad - but thank goodness he found a great home with you. He looks so happy and healthy! :-) I would love to hug him.
Hudson is a sweetheart and so lucky to have you. What a heart breaking story. I just find it hard to believe how cruel people can be in this world. He will give you much love in the years to come for what you have given him. God Bless you all with love, health, and happiness.
Hudson is gorgeous! I agree with WhiteDiamond, could definitely be corgi!
He's a lucky dog, being adopted by you, and I hope you all have many wonderful years of play together!
Hudson you are fabulous! Love your bright eyes and shiny nose!
After a rough start on life, things are looking right rosey for you now. Here's to many happy days napping in the sun and running on the beach!

I was Hudson's foster mom from Tennessee! thank you so much for adopting him- he was the best puppy and so glad to know he is growing up to be a sweet boy! Everyone is right he is adorable and the corgi may be right and probably little lab. Give him a kiss from his foster mom and dad in Jackson,TN. and thanks for adopting a southern pup!
