Rowland the Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Rowland's mom says: Rowland (Rollie for short) was 2 months old when we brought him home. My son calls him a "bundle of cute". He was named after F. Sherwood Rowland, a Nobel Prize winning Chemist. And he is REALLY SMART! He is also a bundle of energy, and goes full speed until he drops. He already has a "best friend" - Felix, the cat next door. Felix will come to our patio door and cry for Rollie to come out and play! The rule at home is: "Anything on the floor belongs to Rollie!" Items become new toys, tossed and chewed lovingly; or proud trophies paraded around the house. Rollie is the talk of the neighborhood and the park. While the Cardigan Corgi is more reserved ("Have we been introduced?"), Rollie is typical of the Pembroke - every new person he meets is greeted with enthusiasm ("Somebody new to pet me!") and a wiggling butt - no tail, you know!
Your son was being conservative -- what we have here is a truckload of cute! Any breed that's good enough for the Queen has got to be pretty special -- and Rowland certainly is. 11 biscuits.
I love his face! Rollie looks so serious and thoughtful. Good thing he has a pet dinosoaur- did he drag this out of the house after conquering it and beating it into submission? Congrats on your new baby!
The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is one of two of my favorite breeds (the Shetland Sheepdog is the other), and your Rollie is a perfect example of why I love them! He is beautiful and has personality plus! Many happy healthy years to a most handsome boy!

Roland is the cutest corgi ever! I just love this breed. I currently have three corgis and, as my breeder said,"corgis are like potato chips, you just can't have one..." Enjoy this lovable puppy.

What a handsome little guy! Second Corgi in as many weeks (if my memory is correct) is turning me into a fan. Never really gave the breed much thought, but the last one was adorable and Rollie is just amazingly cute! That face is so expressive and just lit up with intelligence and goodwill...who could resist?

"Rowland is ready for his close-up Mr de Mille!" Goodness what a goodlooking pup. I'm a sucker for good ears on a puppy, and these are the top banana. Beautiful coat, beautiful eyes - and smart! Who could resist?!

I had to comment on this one! I never got to see my girl as a puppy - she is a rescue who came to me as an adult but your Rollie - with his off-center blaze makes me think this must have been what she looked like. He is beyond adorable! If he is half as michevious as his pictures and my experience suggest you will have your hands full. Enjoy! Oh he is so precious!! My mom has a Corgi & I imagine he looked alot like Rollie as a puppy. She did not get him until he was over a year old so we have no puppy pictures!! I love the ears!! THey just make the breed that much more adorable!!
