All the dogs that were driven across country are now with foster families. These dogs are all amazingly social, and are great with other family pets and children. They are so happy to be out of their misery and ready to be adopted by loving families. They have all passed obedience class, had shots, and been spayed and neutered. These sweet pit bulls have escaped abuse and almost certain death by humans, yet they still remain loving, happy and eager to please.

Thank you...I love knowing that there are wonderful people out there who love so freshly and understand that animals are just as capable of feelings as humans are. I have never owned a dog until recently, I grew up with cats, birds, reptiles, and gerbals. My mother is the most amazing person when it comes to animals and I happen to get her gene for loving them...and bless am I for having it. I never really understood the bond that people shared with their dogs until we recently brought home our 9 week (now 11 weeks) old Frenchie...I cannot even imagine our lives without him now. Thanks! ; Danielle Evans

I've been wanting to get a pitbull for some time now and have waited for some unknown reason (perhaps that reason has been revealed to me through this story). I would love to adopt one of Michael Vick's pitbulls and help prove that they can be just as normal as any other dog given the right enviornment, care and stable routine. I'm an Army officer living in the San Antonio Area and can be reached at terance.allen@us.army.mil. Thanks so much for this article!

I was saddened when this story first broke for I was sure that the dogs would automatically be destroyed. I so relieved to hear that the opposite is true! Thank you so much!

When I watch this vid I cry because it's so sweet! I a-dore the black boxer-pitt mix with the white pitt who's got the w-i-d-e smile. They're so goofy-looking! I actually think I'm becoming a "dog" person! (don't tell my cats!)

This is great - it should be sent to all tv stations. People need to see that pit bulls are no more dangerous than any other breed and can be just as grateful and loving.

I love what you guys are doing and hope to do the same one day! I have two of my own pit babies and I just hate how ignorant people jump at the sight of them since they are two of the sweetest dogs I've ever had! I really admire what you are doing and hope that all the Pit lovers around help to spread the message about these lovable dogs to the rest of the world!

One thing's certain. The savage beasts in this story weren't and aren't the dogs.

I hate what happened to them but I love their future. What great people to help these sad dogs and give them as awesome dog life. My blue pit was abused until I got my hands on him. Now his wounds have healed and he living a happy, healthy life in the country with me. Pitbulls Rock!

Thank you for giving these dogs a future. We have friends that have rescued Pit bulls and they are the most loving, loyal dogs. It's not the dogs that are bad, it's the irrasponsible people who unfortunatly get ahold of them!

It makes me mad to hear people say that all pit bulls are dangerous! It all depends on the way they were raised! I have a pit named Scarface and he's the sweetest dog ever! You know the saying "Like a pit bull loves a cat" Well a cat is my dog's best friend! My Scarface is the most loyal animal I have ever owned! He was a graduation gift and I couldn't be happier to have him in my life! He's my pit bull son!!!!

Thank you so much for having this! I saw Dog Town on the National Geographic Channel the other night and have been thinking about these dogs ever since. I learned about another terrible aspect of dog fighting that night - concerning Georgia - a female that had all her teeth removed to protect the males as she was forcibly bred over and over. I hope the vet who was paid off by Michael Vick and his cronies to do the surgery get what's coming to him. They have all cast a dark shadow over the world of veterinary medicine. I was hoping to Georgia here as one of the success stories, but am so happy to see that these beautiful creatures have been delivered into the arms of people who will give them the love and respect they deserve. I hope Michael Vick is truly sorry for what he has done, although I doubt it. Remember, how a person treats an animal is usually an indication of how they treat their fellow humans.

I wish that I believed in god so that I could say something to you all with the same gravitas that a believer says, "God Bless You". I will NOT think of the horror that these gentle friends have endured. Thanks to you, they will enjoy the happiness that they deserve for the rest of their lives.
